I'm considering investing around $1000 in a new PC build and wanted to get some feedback on my proposed setup. Here's the configuration that ChatGPT suggested:
- **CPU**: Intel Core i5-12400F with 6 cores and 12 threads
- **GPU**: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 8GB
- **RAM**: 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4-3200MHz
- **Storage**: 1TB M.2 NVMe SSD
- **Motherboard**: H610M chipset supporting LGA 1700 socket
- **Case**: Cooler Master Elite 301 ARGB (I'm not a fan of this case—looking for a better-looking one in a similar price range)
- **Power Supply**: 600W 80+ Bronze certified
- **CPU Cooler**: ARGB air cooler
- **Operating System**: Windows 11 Home
I plan to use this PC for gaming as well as school work (such as Adobe software, Blender, and Unity), so performance is crucial. I don't have much experience with computer builds, so I'm eager to hear any thoughts or suggestions from the community!

That build isn’t great for the price. Here’s a significantly better suggestion I found: [https://pcpartpicker.com/list/FNNPC8](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/FNNPC8). You’ll get much better performance without breaking the bank! AI isn’t cutting it for builds right now.
Thanks for the recommendation! I’ll definitely check that out.
Check out PCPartPicker for budget builds around $900. There’s a great Intel setup that could work with a better Nvidia GPU for your needs. Seriously, if you're after performance, steer clear of AI suggestions on this—it’s just not reliable.
The RTX 3050 isn't the best choice for gaming anymore, and if you're spending around $1000, you should aim for something like a 3060 instead. I managed to build a rig with 32GB of DDR5, a 2TB SSD, and a 3060 for the same price. You can definitely find a better deal!
Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend using ChatGPT for hardware advice. For starters, that GPU is quite outdated. Look for something better. You can easily get a solid build for your budget; just do some research first!

Totally agree! I built a similar setup for a friend recently. The Ryzen 7600X paired with a Radeon 6900XT is the way to go for around $1000. It’s incredibly powerful!
