Hey everyone! I'm putting together my first PC and I've got a really tight budget of around $600. I'm not into AAA gaming, so I'm aiming for something that will run games like Schedule 1 and waterpark simulator without breaking the bank. My current setup includes a Ryzen 5 5500, RX 6600, 32GB of RAM, a 1TB SSD, a Gigabyte B550M motherboard, a 650W Semi-Modular PSU, and a MicroATX case. I know there's more powerful hardware out there, but I'm looking for something that's suitable and cost-effective. Do you think this combo works for what I need, or should I consider making any changes?

Honestly, it's decent but if you're willing to push your budget up by about $70, you could snag a better CPU and GPU combo. There are options on sites like PCPartPicker that could fit what you want without going overboard.

I decided to stick with the 6600 but grabbed a 5600X after reading that the 3060 isn’t much better for an extra $100.

Is this setup brand new or used? If it's used, there are some better options available—I've seen builds with 3070s and even 3080s around the same price point!

It's a new RX 6600.

Got it, I misunderstood! So everything is new.

If you're looking for better performance, think about getting the 6900 XT with 8GB instead of the 6600. It supports FSR4 and is a stronger GPU overall.
