Hey everyone! I'm in the process of upgrading my current PC setup. I've been using a 3060 for a few years, and I'm now looking to step up to a 5000 series GPU. I've started crafting my build based on one I found online, but I'm curious if it's the best use of my $3000 budget. As a former console gamer with limited tech knowledge, I'm looking for something that can handle graphically intensive games, streaming, and video editing if possible. I primarily play a mix of RPGs, fighting games, and the occasional shooter. Any advice or alternative builds would be really appreciated. Thanks a lot!

I think you could get a better performing build for less! Check out this setup I found:
- **CPU**: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D - $449
- **CPU Cooler**: Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 SE - $35.90
- **Motherboard**: Gigabyte B850 AORUS ELITE WIFI7 - $179.99
- **Memory**: Silicon Power XPOWER Zenith Gaming 64 GB (2 x 32 GB) DDR5-6000 - $499.99
- **Storage**: Samsung 990 EVO Plus 2 TB - $168.95
- **GPU**: PNY OC GeForce RTX 5080 - $949
- **Case**: Corsair FRAME 4000D RS - $89.99
- **Power Supply**: Montech CENTURY II 1050 W - $104.90
- **OS**: Windows 11 Home - $129.99
This totals around $2607.71, and I think it’s a solid option for both gaming and editing!
I like the build too, but I’m not sold on the $500 RAM. I’d suggest going for 32 GB unless you’re planning heavy editing or virtualization. And you could save almost $400 by skipping the OS purchase!
Honestly, I’m a bit surprised by the ram prices nowadays! I got 32GB of DDR5 for under $150 just a few months back. What’s up with this pricing now?
It seems like manufacturers are price gouging now due to potential shortages.
Tell me about it. I snagged my 32GB (2x16 CL36) for just $80 five months ago. What a difference!

Thanks for sharing that! Looks awesome! I might consider this build more seriously now.
