I'm building my first PC and I want to make sure it's solid for gaming now and also has room for future upgrades. Here's the build I'm considering:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
- CPU Cooler: Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE
- GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Super 12GB
- Motherboard: MSI PRO B650M-A WiFi
- RAM: 32GB (16x2) Corsair Vengeance DDR5 6000MHz CL30
- Storage: WD Black SN850X 1TB NVMe SSD
- PSU: MSI MAG A750GL 750W Gold
- Case: Lian Li Lancool 216
- Monitor: Gigabyte M27Q
- Keyboard: Wooting two HE
- Mouse: Razer DeathAdder V3
How would you rate this setup?

I'd recommend going for a Phantom Spirit cooler instead of the Peerless Assassin—they're similarly priced but the Phantom is great too. Also, maybe look into the RX 9700XT instead of the 4070, just to keep performance consistent. Overall, though, your build looks solid!
Consider swapping out the GPU for an RX 9700 non-XT 16GB. Also, if you can find CL36 RAM at a lower price, it’ll still perform close to the CL30. The difference isn't really noticeable in gaming.
Exactly! Just focus on getting the best deal for 2x16GB DDR5 6000MTs RAM, even if it's CL38. The performance hit is minimal with an X3D CPU.
I would suggest bumping the PSU to 850W because the 40 series cards tend to draw a bit more power than even the newer 50 series. An 850W Cooler Master Gold is about the same price as your current MSI 750W, so it’s worth considering.

Thanks for the tip! But could you explain the difference in performance between the 4070 Super and the 9070XT?
