Hey everyone, I came across this PC build [link](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/nJ7zRV) and I wanted to get your take on it. I already have a 1TB SSD I can add in, and a fellow user recommended this setup based on my budget. I'm a bit tight on funds right now, but I'm considering upgrading parts in the future. Do you think this build is suitable? I appreciate any insights!

For the price, you might want to check this combo deal [link](https://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails?ItemList=Combo.4775433). It offers more RAM and a better motherboard for a lower price, though keep in mind the CPU isn’t as great.
Honestly, it’s decent for the price, but if you're planning on gaming or heavy workloads, I’d consider swapping it out down the line.
If your budget allows, definitely consider going for 32GB of RAM, and maybe upgrade to a B550 motherboard. It’ll make a difference in performance going forward.
How about this build I found: [link](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/x4MR6Q)? Would it work well?
I really wouldn't go for that build if you plan to upgrade later. The AM4 platform is pretty much dead, and the power supply is very low quality—could even be a fire hazard! The only decent part in that build is the case, but even that's overpriced. Instead, check this build out [link](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/yq36db); it will let you upgrade the CPU later on and comes with a solid power supply.
Just because AM4 isn't getting new CPUs doesn't mean it's obsolete. The 5800X3D still performs well. If you're sticking to a budget, grab that and a mid-range GPU for future upgrades.
Could you suggest a good CPU alternative that won't break the bank? I’ve got $200 in Best Buy credit and was eyeing the 7600X but would need a cooler too, which might push me over budget.
Thanks for the heads up! I’ll definitely consider that.

Do you think that CPU will hold up well for a while?
