I'm currently using a Ryzen 5600 paired with a 6600 XT, and I'm gaming at 1080p. I'm planning to upgrade to a 4K OLED and a decent GPU in about six months. I found a used Ryzen 5700X3D for around $240, which still has over a year of warranty left. I'm not looking to switch to AM5/AM6 for the next 4-5 years. Should I make the upgrade?

Great deal for that CPU right now! It's about 20% better in gaming than the 5600. But you might want to consider if that money could be better spent on a GPU upgrade instead, especially since you'll be moving to 4K and will want a powerful graphics card.
That $240 price for the 5700X3D is really solid! It'll definitely keep you on the AM4 platform for years. I'd say go for it if you're looking to improve your gaming performance.
$240 for the 5700X3D is awesome, but I had a dilemma like that too. I ended up going for an AM5 upgrade with a 7800X3D. Depending on your GPU situation, if that CPU budget can help you snag a better graphics card, maybe that’s the way to go for your 4K plans.
