Hey everyone, I'm considering upgrading my PC, which is mainly for gaming. Here are my current specs: I have an AMD Ryzen 5 5600X CPU, an XFX Speedster SWFT 319 AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT GPU, and 64GB of DDR4 RAM running at 2400 MT/s, all on an ASUS ROG Strix B550-F motherboard. Lately, I've noticed that while playing games like Space Marine 2, my frame rate isn't consistently hitting 60 FPS at 1440p, and I feel like my GPU isn't performing as well as it could. Currently, I can't switch to AM5 because I'd have to replace my motherboard and memory too. I'm thinking about upgrading to a better AM4 CPU, and while I'd love to go for either the Ryzen 7 5800X3D or the 5700X3D, they're hard to find and way too expensive here (over €500). I've found the 5800X and 5950X at more reasonable prices though. Do you think it's worth upgrading to either of those, or should I just hold off and save up for AM6? Thanks for your thoughts!

It might be worth just waiting for AM6. The X3D processors could offer a meaningful upgrade, but they’re priced high right now. If you're not in a hurry and your system runs okay for the moment, saving up for a complete new setup could be a better strategy.
Exactly! Plus, you’ll have more choices and possibly better technology in a year or two.
If you do find a decent deal on a higher-end AM4 CPU, go for it—just don’t expect a huge jump in gaming performance. The best payoff will be from investing in a GPU upgrade instead!
I keep seeing decent GPUs pop up now and then. It’s a good time to snag one if you can!
For sure! Just keep an eye on benchmarks to see what fits your gaming style best.

Yeah, I think waiting is the best strategy. Prices will likely stabilize, and you’ll get better parts in the long run.
