I'm about to upgrade my PC with a new GPU and RAM, and I'm curious about how straightforward the process will be. I'm upgrading from a Radeon 5600 XT to a 9060 XT, sticking with AMD for compatibility. Plus, I'm increasing my RAM from 16 GB to 32 GB, but the new sticks are just faster. Since this is my first time doing a complete standalone build, I want to ensure I've got everything covered. Do I need to do anything special when swapping these parts out, or is it mainly just a straightforward exchange?

It should mostly be a simple swap! Just double-check that your new RAM is compatible, like DDR4 to DDR4. After installing, don’t forget to enable XMP in the BIOS for those speed boosts, assuming your motherboard supports it. Since you mentioned the same RAM type but with a higher speed, it sounds like you’re all set!
Upgrading your GPU should be pretty simple! Just make sure to update your graphics drivers after you swap it out. If you run into any issues, you can use DDU to uninstall the old AMD drivers completely and reinstall the new ones fresh. As for the RAM, you’ll need to enable XMP or DOCP in the BIOS to get the RAM to run at its rated speed. It won't set itself automatically, so that step is key!
Thanks for the tip! I'll make sure to follow that.
Absolutely, I bought the same brand and type, just faster. So, I should be good!
