I'm currently running a setup with 16GB of RAM, a 2070 Super GPU, and an Intel i7-9700F CPU. I use my computer for programming but also play demanding games like Cyberpunk 2077 at 1440p. My frame rates are decent, but I'd love to enhance my graphics settings and hit around 120 FPS. I'm considering a new GPU, specifically the 5070ti, but I'm unsure whether I need to upgrade my entire system to an AM5 motherboard along with my CPU and RAM. Would just upgrading the GPU be sufficient? I'm relatively new to PC building and would appreciate any advice!

I'm currently using an i7-9700k with a 2080 Super and upgraded to a 9070XT. Honestly, I don’t think upgrading the CPU is urgent right now. Prices for RAM are crazy, so it might be better to wait a few years until they stabilize.
Upgrading to a 5070ti or even a 9070XT would definitely be worth it. Both cards can serve you well, and you'll be ready to switch to DDR5 when you're ready to upgrade further down the line.
You might not need to upgrade anything other than the GPU. You could run into some bottleneck issues, but it shouldn't be too significant to affect performance too much. If you've got the budget, it could be wise to upgrade before prices rise.
I switched from a 9700 with a 3070 to a 7700 and 9070XT, and it was totally worth it for me! You’ll get a big performance boost with a new GPU.
Just getting a new GPU should work fine, as long as your PSU can handle the extra power. There could be a bit of a bottleneck with the i7-9700F, but the performance gain should still make a noticeable difference!
