Hey everyone, I recently upgraded from a 3060 Ti to a 5070, but I'm still using an AM4 platform with my Ryzen 7 5700X and 32GB of DDR4 RAM. Right now, I've tuned down my GPU for power savings due to my 650W PSU, but I've just upgraded to an 850W PSU. I'm considering a switch to DDR5 along with a new motherboard and a Ryzen 7 9800X3D. My question is: will the performance boost from changing to DDR5 be significant? I'm averaging around 150-200 FPS in Warzone with my current setup, all defaults and no overclocking. Is the cost of this upgrade really justified?

Switching to DDR5 itself might not give a huge boost right away. The real upgrade comes from the 9800X3D, which can significantly improve performance in demanding games. If you're focused on gaming, going for the new CPU might make more sense and give you a noticeable performance increase without having to swap out everything.
Would it be better to just get the new CPU instead of all the bells and whistles?
