I recently discovered that my phone has 741 files in the recently downloaded section, all from about 21 hours ago. They look like random strings of letters and numbers, and it all happened within a 2-minute timeframe. I'm not even sure what type of files they are. Could anyone help me understand why this happened? Am I at risk for my online security? Let me know if you need more details!

You might not have anything to worry about. Most likely, an app on your phone downloaded these files or created temporary files. It's pretty rare for it to be something malicious. Just check your apps.
You should definitely get a good file explorer app to see what type of files those are. It might help you figure this out a bit better.
