I've had my GTX 1080 for around ten years and it's been a great GPU, but with my current limited income due to health issues, I'm hoping to upgrade without breaking the bank. I'm looking for recommendations on affordable replacement options that can handle modern games well, but I don't need the highest-end model. What do you all suggest?

Since you're on a budget, I'd say anything from the RTX 3060 and up will be a big step forward. The Intel Arc B580 is also looking good as an entry-level GPU. Soon we should see AMD's RX 9060 series release, which could be even better. Just make sure to avoid overpaying for any card, especially current prices in the second-hand market.
A solid choice would be the 4070 Super if you're looking for an upgrade. It's a great balance between performance and price.
Thanks for the tips! I plan to wait for the RX 9060 to see how it performs before making a decision. I appreciate it!
