Hey everyone! I'm in the market for a 2TB NVME drive and want to make my purchase before prices inflate like they did with RAM. I'm primarily gaming with heavily modded titles like Skyrim, which can take up to 500GB with all the plugins and textures. It's crucial for me to have a drive that offers fast loading speeds to avoid long wait times during game starts or save loads. I was considering the KC3000, but I heard they've downgraded the specs from Micron NAND to Toshiba NAND (Kioxia). Is this change something I would notice in actual use? I'm open to recommendations for fast NVME options that won't break the bank. Thanks!

Hey! If you're in Europe and looking for the best performance on a budget, you might want to check out the Samsung 970 EVO Plus. It's known for great speeds and reliable performance, especially for large games. Another solid choice is the Western Digital Black SN850. Both of these should give you excellent loading times without being too pricey. Just make sure to check for any sales!
I think the change in NAND could definitely affect performance, but it mainly depends on how intensive your mods are. If you're really loaded up with textures, you might notice some speed differences. If you're looking for other options, you might consider the Crucial P5 Plus, which also offers great speeds and is typically more affordable.
Good point! The P5 Plus is solid for the price, especially if you don’t want to sacrifice performance for cost.

I've heard awesome things about the 970 EVO Plus too! Just be sure to get the M.2 version so it fits well in your system.
