Hey everyone! I just wrapped up my apprenticeship and decided to treat myself to a new PC build. I've put together a list on PCPartPicker that totals around $2978 AUD. I'm looking for any suggestions to improve my build or ways to cut costs while maintaining similar performance. I've scoured local stores and found the best prices, so I'm eager to hear your thoughts! Here's the link to my build: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/f9tHLc

I’d suggest dialing back on the motherboard a bit. A board in the $160-170 range would work just fine. You might also want to consider getting cheaper RAM with similar specs—brand doesn’t really make a huge difference. With the savings, you could upgrade to a 9070XT instead of the 7800XT for better graphics performance!

I've found an MSI B840 Gaming Plus for about $70 less. Is that a good alternative?
