Hey everyone! I'm in search of a USB emulator that functions similarly to an iODD. Essentially, I'm looking for a device that allows me to load ISO files and present them as a real CD/DVD drive. The issue I'm facing is that iODD devices tend to be pretty expensive for what they offer. Are there any cheaper alternatives out there, or is iODD pretty much the only viable option for this specific need? For reference, I've been using Ventoy, but it's been hit or miss, especially with some picky BIOS setups and unusual hardware. How do you all tackle this in your daily workflows? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I’ve been using YUMI for years and it works well for creating bootable USB drives.
For a more budget-friendly option, you might consider the ST400 model, which is USB-C and costs around $90. You can even use your own 2.5" SSD with it, which adds to its value. Just be careful with the Mini version—I cracked the screen after four years! I'd definitely buy another Mini if they released a USB-C update.
Using a Raspberry Pi in gadget mode could also be a solution for emulating USB storage. Not complicated if you’re into DIY.
If you have the ISO and the USB, why not just use Rufus to create a bootable USB? It’s a straightforward option and works well for single ISO files.
I've had great luck with the iODD; it's super reliable, especially with secure boot. I think the cost is worth it, given that I now have five of them so I can really vouch for their performance.
I get that, but having multiple ISOs on one USB would be more efficient than creating one bootable drive for each OS.
