I've been experiencing some pretty noticeable pain in my hand and wrist when I'm gaming or browsing. I've used the Deathadder for years, at least since 2010, and I'm currently on the v3 pro. My hand size is about 18cm long and 11cm wide with my thumb closed against my palm. I've got a fully adjustable chair and desk, and I usually keep my whole forearm on the desk while playing. My palm rests on the right side of the mouse (I'm right-handed), with my thumb slightly elevated. Lately, I've had to shift positions because of the discomfort—sometimes keeping my palm more on top of the mouse or moving it closer to me to use my wrist, but that only seems to make it worse. I'm open to trying different grips or mouse sizes. I mostly play competitive games like Counter-Strike, LoL, and Path of Exile, which require a lot of clicking and movement. I usually work with a low sensitivity setting, around 50% in Windows 11, no acceleration, and between 1.5-2 at 800 DPI for shooting games.

Don't stress too much; it's likely manageable. Focusing on your posture and making some adjustments to your setup can significantly help!
You might want to check if it's De Quervain's tenosynovitis. I have that condition, and I manage it with a wrist brace that has a thumb spica and a vertical mouse. Some wrist braces are more ergonomic and better for mouse usage, so it might be worth looking into those options.
Make sure to check out some ergonomic mouse designs! They can really help with wrist pain. I’d recommend visiting r/MouseReview for discussions on various mice specifically designed to reduce strain.

Thanks for the suggestion! I’ll definitely look into those products. I had a quick consult with my doctor, but I haven't taken any further steps yet.
