Looking for Recommendations on AI Employee Monitoring Software (and How to Approach My CEO)

Hey everyone! My management team has tasked me with finding an AI-based employee monitoring software after our CEO discovered the concept through the overemployed subreddit. Personally, I'm not a fan of monitoring employees so closely, as long as they're getting their tasks done on time. I'm curious how I can respectfully express this viewpoint to the CEO without facing backlash. I've signed up for a demo of Klarops, but I'm looking for other software suggestions as well. I'd like to present a list of options and suggest that we focus more on task completion rates rather than constant monitoring. If anyone here is using such software, I'd love to hear your experiences. Is it worth the investment? Have you noticed any positive changes?

You might want to look into the r/evil subreddit for a different perspective, lol! But seriously, if you need more convincing arguments against monitoring, check out this article that discusses leaked employee data from surveillance apps. Sometimes, showing the negative impacts can help you win your case.

Really? I couldn't find any descriptions about that subreddit. How do you think it relates to my situation?

One thing to consider is that tracking software might not be legal in the EU, so keep that in mind! Instead of AI monitoring, you could suggest a ticketing system. These systems, like ServiceNow or Frontline, can give your CEO much more valuable insights by tracking workflow, KPIs, and time loss, rather than just monitoring how long someone is active. Improving team understanding of their goals can often boost productivity without the need for strict surveillance. My company looked into these options, but we found they just didn’t fit our culture, so personnel development might be a better route.

Thanks for the insight! I’ll check those out.

One of my contacts used project management software instead of ticketing, and it really helped them identify bottlenecks in tasks, which was a huge game changer.
