Hey everyone! I'm considering some upgrades for my PC and could really use your feedback. Currently, I have an Intel i7-8700k processor, 16 GB of DDR4 RAM, and an Asus Strix GTX 1080 graphics card. I've recently bought a new set of 32 GB dual-channel RAM, as I've heard that having more RAM can help improve performance in demanding games. I play a lot of Marvel Rivals, and while it runs okay, I'm getting around 50-70 fps on medium-high settings. I'm hoping the additional RAM will make a difference.
I'm also thinking about upgrading my graphics card and I'm interested in the RTX 5060TI with 16 GB of VRAM. From what I've read, 8 GB might soon become insufficient for newer games, though I know it varies based on what you're playing.
What do you guys think? I've seen some suggestions that I should upgrade my CPU, but I'm not ready to overhaul my entire system financially right now. I'm looking for upgrades that could last me for the next 5 years. Thanks in advance for your recommendations!

It's also important to know what motherboard and PSU you’re working with. If you have a decent motherboard, you won't face issues with compatibility when upgrading to that RTX 5060TI. I see you have the Asus Maximus X Formula and a Corsair HX850i, which are great for handling upgrades!
Have you checked if you're GPU bound while playing? If not, your current graphics card might still have some life left in it. But upgrading to a better GPU, like the RTX 5060TI, would definitely help in future-proofing your build, especially with those higher settings!
Exactly! If the GTX 1080 is handling most games fine now, a solid upgrade could really enhance your experience for more demanding titles without going full system upgrade.

Yeah, I've got the Maximus X Formula and the Corsair HX850i, so I think I'm set there! Just want to make sure my upgrades are worthwhile.
