My ‘?’ button deletes the letter to the right of the cursor—any ideas why?

Hey everyone, I'm having a weird issue with my keyboard. Whenever I press the '?' button, it actually deletes the letter to the right of the cursor instead of just typing the symbol. I've tried reinstalling the drivers, restarting my computer, and confirmed that I have no other keyboard layouts or languages active. I'm pretty stumped on this one! Thanks for any help!

Have you tried using the On-Screen Keyboard? It can help you figure out if it's a hardware issue. If the '?' button behaves the same way there, there's likely a setting that needs adjusting. Also, check if pressing that key while selecting a file in Explorer deletes the file. That might give more insight into whether it's a software glitch.

Yes, I tried that, and even the keys on the On-Screen Keyboard didn't light up when I pressed them!

Is your keyboard programmable? I had a similar issue where a key was accidentally set to behave differently because my grandkid played around with settings. It took me forever to find out that one key wasn't repeating because it was programmed wrong. Might be worth checking if yours can be reconfigured somehow!

I don't think so? I’ve never changed any settings or have software for it.
