I've been having some serious issues with my GPU lately. My cursor keeps freezing, and this happens multiple times in a row, lasting several seconds each time. Initially, I thought it was a connection problem. However, both of my monitors started freezing completely whenever I tried to do anything with my mouse—clicking, dragging, you name it. After that, I checked my graphics drivers and attempted to install the new ones. Unfortunately, my computer crashed just a few seconds after the download started. After rebooting, the NVIDIA application wouldn't install the new drivers, and I kept getting a pop-up saying "can't connect to NVIDIA," which kept refreshing itself repeatedly. Above the download button, it prompted me to relaunch the app due to a new version available, but relaunching just took me back to the same screen with no updates or changes.
I also attempted to uninstall the drivers using Windows' built-in removal tools, but that was a mess too. The files either reappeared as if they were malware or just wouldn't uninstall. I resorted to downloading DDU and tried accessing WinRE. When I went through Troubleshoot → Advanced Options → Startup Settings → Restart, both monitors went blank. The system never prompted me to enter Safe Mode, and although my keyboard lights up, pressing F4 doesn't do anything. Does anyone have a fix for this?

For the driver installation issue, make sure you've fully uninstalled the old drivers, especially in safe mode using DDU. If your monitors are still blank when trying to access safe mode, you might need to reset your BIOS settings, which could fix the startup issues. It's a bit of a hassle, but sometimes restores can work wonders!
It sounds like a complicated issue! First, let's figure out if the problem is solely with the NVIDIA app or if it's a broader GPU issue. Have you tried using Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) in safe mode to completely remove the current drivers? Sometimes that can help clear out corrupted files. Also, check to see if any other programs or apps are acting weird besides NVIDIA. This could give us more clues about what's going on.
