Hey everyone, my Linux system just froze up completely. The mouse is still moving, but I can't click on anything, and the keyboard isn't responding at all. I'm hesitant to force a shutdown because I've already dealt with the tty1 error twice before. If anyone has any tips or solutions, I'd really appreciate it!

Make sure to check the sidebar for troubleshooting tips; that might have some useful info. Sometimes it's the little things that help!
Try pressing Ctrl+Alt+F2 to see if you can access a terminal. Sometimes that can help you regain control without restarting. Also, it would be good to know your Linux distribution and desktop environment – it could help others suggest more specific solutions.
If all else fails, you might need to force a shutdown. I had a similar issue and rebooted, then pressed Ctrl+Alt+F2 afterward, but everything was okay afterward. It's a bit nerve-wracking, but sometimes it happens.
