My PC is Stuck in BIOS After Restart, What Can I Do?

I restarted my PC yesterday, and now it's stuck in the BIOS screen. I've tried everything I can think of: I removed the BIOS battery, unplugged and reconnected all the cables, reset the BIOS to default settings, and even swapped out the RAM sticks. I'm running Windows 10 on an ASRock motherboard, and it's been two days of this issue. I don't know what else to try since it just happened suddenly after a regular restart.

Have you checked if your hard drive, which has the operating system, is recognized in the BIOS? If it’s not showing up, that could explain why your PC is stuck there, as it can't find anything to boot from, leading it back to the BIOS. You might need to troubleshoot the hard drive connection or check if it's faulty.

I encountered a similar issue once. It turned out that my hard drive cable was loose. A simple reseating solved everything for me!

You might wanna try resetting your BIOS settings to defaults again, but this time make sure to only keep necessary components connected. Sometimes, peripherals can cause issues during boot. Just leave the essentials connected like your keyboard and monitor, and see if it helps.

Good call! When I had a similar problem, disconnecting everything except the essentials was key to getting it functional again.
