My SSD Isn’t Recognized After Building My First PC, Help!

I just completed my first PC build, and while it powered up and booted to BIOS correctly, I'm facing a frustrating issue: my M.2 SSD isn't being recognized. Everything else looks good—the CPU, memory, all check out fine—but the storage section shows 'M2_1' as not present, which basically makes it seem like there's no SSD installed. I've tried several common fixes I've found online, like toggling UEFI settings between CSM and Secure Boot, but nothing seems to work. I've double-checked that the SSD is properly seated and even tried moving it to another M.2 slot without success. I'm really in need of some advice here. By the way, here's a quick list of my components: MSI B550M Pro-VDH WiFi, AMD Ryzen 5 3600, GTX 1660 Super, 16GB DDR4 RAM, and the 1TB M.2 SSD.

It might be that the SSD itself is defective. If you can, try testing it in another PC to see if it gets recognized there.

What specific model of M.2 SSD are you using? Also, was it bought new or used? Oh, and make sure to check if your BIOS is updated; that can sometimes fix recognition issues!
