Need Help After Upgrading My CPU

Hi everyone! I recently upgraded my brother's prebuilt PC. It had a mini-ITX case with a B550 motherboard, a Ryzen 3 3200G, 16GB of DDR4 RAM, and a 5700XT that I added. I found a great deal on a Ryzen 7 2700X from a friend along with a Lian Li Lancool 205 Mesh case, so I decided to do the upgrade. After replacing the old CPU and cooler with the new Wraith Prism cooler, the PC turns on, but I'm getting no image output. I'm wondering if I need to do something in the BIOS? If so, how do I go about it? This is my first time changing a CPU, and I'm feeling pretty lost. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

First off, B550 motherboards aren't necessarily required for Ryzen 2000 series CPUs. If possible, you could switch back to the 3200G and look for a Ryzen 3000 series CPU. If you find a BIOS update for your board, that might even add support for Ryzen 5000 CPUs too. Just check the manufacturer's site for details on CPU compatibility!

What motherboard are we talking about? If it’s something like the MSI B550M-P WiFi, you might have better luck. Otherwise, might be easier to just grab a used board that definitely supports Ryzen 2000 series.
