Need Help Choosing GPU for My First PC Build

Hey everyone! I'm building my first PC and I'm pretty excited about it! The main uses for my build will be gaming, coding, and experimenting with local AI models. I found a GPU that seems to have everything I need—it's a 16GB NVIDIA 5070 Ti, but it's on the pricey side. If you have other GPU recommendations, I'd love to hear about them. Here are the parts I've selected so far:

- **CPU**: AMD Ryzen 5 7600X 4.7 GHz 6-Core Processor
- **CPU Cooler**: Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE
- **Motherboard**: MSI B650 GAMING PLUS WIFI ATX AM5
- **Memory**: Crucial Pro Overclocking 32 GB DDR5-6000
- **Storage**: Crucial P3 Plus 2 TB NVME SSD
- **Video Card**: MSI SHADOW 3X OC GeForce RTX 5070 Ti 16 GB
- **Case**: Montech XR ATX Mid Tower
- **Power Supply**: MSI MAG A750GL 750 W 80+ Gold Certified

Total cost is around $1576.27. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, especially since this is my first build. Thanks a bunch!

I think you should consider getting a 9070XT instead. It could save you about $100, and you could use that extra cash to buy another M.2 drive or upgrade your CPU cooler to a 240mm radiator, which would be beneficial in the long run.

Oh cool, I’ll look into that option!

For what you mentioned about coding, it might be worth investing in a higher core count CPU. The NVIDIA 16GB card is more of a baseline if you're doing serious AI work. If you can swing it, a used 3090 could really help with things like training models. Also, consider that having 32GB of RAM may limit you if you're working on larger models.

I hear you! I mainly do coding on my Mac right now, but I need an NVIDIA GPU for some LLM projects. I'm not ready to spend $5000 on a GPU yet; I’m just looking for the best bang for my buck right now.
