I'm looking to build my first PC primarily for some light gaming and 3D modeling. I'm not very knowledgeable in this area and my budget is between $2500 and $3000. A few friends suggested some parts as a starting point. I want to know if the recommended components are good for my needs or if there are better alternatives. Any guidance on how to get started would be greatly appreciated!

Before we dive into the parts, how important is 3D modeling for you compared to gaming performance? If you need stability in 3D modeling over maximum FPS for gaming, then we might want to lean towards a more powerful CPU than just focusing on the GPU.

3D modeling is definitely my priority, so as long as the gaming performance is decent, I'm okay with that.

I took a look at the parts you’re considering and made a few tweaks. For instance, I recommend swapping the CPU for the AMD Ryzen 9 9950X because its 16 cores will help significantly with your modeling tasks. Sure, you might lose some FPS in games, but it’ll excel in performance where you need it most. I've also suggested some alternatives for your GPU that could save you some money since you mentioned it’s not your top priority. Check out this updated list—it’s just a bit over your budget but worth it!

Here's the breakdown for your reference: I included a high-speed SSD for faster load times during modeling, plus a great monitor that supports HDR.
