I'm putting together a PC for my girlfriend's birthday, and here's what I've got so far:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 9600X
- Cooler: Thermalright Assassin X 120 R SE
- Storage: Crucial P3 Plus 2 TB NVMe SSD
- GPU: GIGABYTE Radeon RX 9060 XT Gaming OC 16G
- Case: Montech Sky Two mid-tower with pre-installed ARGB fans
- PSU: MSI MAG A650BN 650 W Bronze
- Motherboard: GIGABYTE B850 Eagle WiFi 6E (AM5)
Can anyone suggest what I might be missing or if there are any improvements I should consider? She's going to use it primarily for Sims 4 with CC and modded Minecraft.

If you're looking for some alternatives within your budget, I've got a few build ideas. You might consider a slightly upgraded GPU to improve gaming performance without blowing your budget! Here's a link to one that fits well into your price range: [PCPartPicker Build](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/fmHdh7).
It looks like you're missing a RAM kit in your build! Since you're working with a budget of $1200-1300, make sure to include at least 16 GB of RAM—32 GB would be even better for those games. Also, if you can, check the resolution she'll be playing at, as that could influence your GPU choice. Keep an eye on what memory speeds are supported by the motherboard as well!
I agree—having enough RAM is key for smoother gameplay with mods. I'd say 32 GB is a great investment if you're within budget!
Another thing to consider is the cooling system. The Thermalright cooler you mentioned is good, but make sure it’s compatible with your case and CPU. Also, switching to a faster storage option like a PCIe 4.0 NVMe could provide a performance boost for load times in games.
Definitely worth looking into faster SSDs! They'll make a BIG difference in game loading times.

Thanks for the recommendation! I'll check it out. I just want to make sure it’s fast enough for seamless gameplay.
