Need Help with a Stuck Domain Admin Takeover and Microsoft Support

I'm currently trying to take over our company domain admin access, but I'm having major issues. My admin account is locked behind MFA that I can't reset, and I've started a new tenant and verified domain ownership with a TXT record. I opened a support ticket on November 17th (Sev C), but now it's been 7 days with no updates or responses—total silence. I've tried everything from emailing the executive team to tagging MicrosoftHelp on X and updating the ticket. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get in touch with the domain or tenant team? This is really urgent since it's holding up a compliance deployment with a strict deadline. My ticket number is #2511180010000158 if that helps any Microsoft folks out there.

Good call on opening a Sev A case! That might get you a faster response. Just a heads up: there's a process for that, so it’s not always straightforward. Just be persistent and keep pushing for updates. It can be slow, but sometimes that escalates things.

If you're really stuck in the support loop, consider opening another ticket. I’ve had luck doing that in the past—closing the old ticket and starting fresh sometimes gets their attention. It's worth a shot!

And honestly, this is a good reason to have more than one admin or a break-glass account set up! It’s always better to be prepared for events like this.

I feel your frustration! Microsoft support can be a nightmare sometimes. Unfortunately, it's not uncommon for these tickets to take weeks. They likely try to reach out to all listed contacts related to your domain before proceeding. If you have access to the registrar, double-check that all contacts are active because if they're going to unmonitored emails, that can stall everything further.

One thing that might help is reaching out to any VARs you work with. They may have contacts at Microsoft that could assist in speeding up the process. Also, if your company has a Microsoft account representative, get in touch with them; they can sometimes work wonders.
