After five years of faithful service, my 2080 Super has finally given up the ghost. I'm looking for advice on a new graphics card that's reasonably priced and a solid upgrade. I've been considering the 3080 since it's affordable and a direct upgrade. However, I'm not too familiar with the 40 and 50 series cards, and they seem a bit out of my budget. Any recommendations?

How did your graphics card die? I have PCs that are 15-20 years old, and components generally don’t just fail without some reason. Do you mind sharing how it was treated over those years?
The 3080 is affordable, but keep in mind it’s not a huge leap from the 2080 in terms of longevity. It might not last you as long as you hope.
I have a 4070, and it runs everything smoothly. If you're considering the 40 series, I think you’ll be happy with it.
Before anything, what’s your budget?
You should consider the 5080 for long-term use, but if you’re sticking to the budget, a 40 series or a 5070 might work. The 3080 is decent too!

I’m aiming for under $600, just to hold me over until I can save up for something like the 5080 or 6070-6080.
