Searching for Cloud Fax Solutions After Biscom Acquisition

I'm on the hunt for a replacement for our Biscom fax servers after they were bought by Concord. The transition hasn't been smooth at all; the Biscom team is mostly gone, and now we're left without support, facing unreliable service. It reminds me of how RightFax struggled after being acquired by OpenText—just a rough ride for the users.

We're looking for cloud-based solutions that can handle our needs, particularly since we send out hundreds of thousands of pages every month. Here are our main requirements:

1. We need a cost-effective solution since we're dealing with a high volume of faxes.
2. A complete shift to the cloud is essential for us.
3. Good customer support is a must.
4. Reliability is key, especially as these faxes are clinical and time-sensitive.
5. The vendor must be HIPAA compliant and willing to sign a BAA.
6. Ideally, we want a forward-thinking partner who can help us improve our workflows down the line.

For anyone in healthcare, what solutions are you all using? I've explored a few options, but they seem outdated or not really tailored for healthcare. And just a side note for those in sysadmin wondering why we still use fax: in healthcare, faxing is still a crucial part of our process due to HIPAA compliance. It's a way to mitigate risks associated with PHI disclosure, even if it's not the most modern method.

I checked out WestFax as well, but I felt they were somewhat legacy in approach. Still, they could be worth a look depending on your specific needs.

Thanks for the insight! I'll keep them on my list but will also look for more modern solutions.
