I'm considering a Ryzen 9 9800X3D, which costs about 41,000 rubles (around $540) on a major shop in Russia. However, I found a brand new Ryzen 9 9950X3D listed on a second-hand marketplace for a similar price, while it's around $850 on the same major site. It seems strange to me that the prices are so close, and I want to know if it's worth taking the risk to buy the 9950X3D. What do you think?

It's all about the risk you're willing to take. If you decide to go for the 9950X3D due to the good price, just be sure to check the seller's reviews on the marketplace. Also, if you can use a payment method that offers some buyer protection, that could be a safer route. But if you're inexperienced with these kinds of purchases, sticking with a verified seller might be the way to go.
It really depends on what you're using your PC for. If it's mainly for gaming, you might be better off saving money and getting the 9800X3D instead. It should perform really well for games without needing the extra power of the 9950X3D.
That price difference seems pretty fishy to me. Just be wary before making a decision. Sometimes, things that seem too good to be true really are. Do your research before jumping in!

I actually need it for both gaming and video editing, so I’m hoping the extra cores will help.
