I currently have an 8GB DDR4 RAM stick in my PC, and I'm planning to buy two 16GB RAM sticks. Should I leave the 8GB stick in my system, or should I just use the two 16GB sticks?

It's better to just go with the 2x16GB sticks and remove the 8GB one. This way, you ensure optimal performance without any conflicting speeds or settings.

I suggest removing the 8GB stick. Mixing it with the two 16GB sticks could lead to some issues with performance consistency, so it’s best to just use the new ones.

Using 2x16GB in dual channel is way more effective than mixing in an 8GB stick. You’ll end up with a total of 40GB, but that extra 8GB won't perform as well since it isn't matched with the others. If you only need more RAM, stick with the 2x16GB, it's simpler and more powerful!
