Should I Learn JavaScript, Python, or Both?

I took AP Computer Science Principles during my senior year of high school, where I focused mainly on the JavaScript console. However, my teacher didn't cover any web-related JavaScript. Now, I'm wondering if I should continue learning JavaScript for web development or switch to Python since I'm not sure if my CSC 1301 class will focus on JavaScript or Python. Should I be learning both languages, and what would be the best approach?

It's important to communicate clearly, especially in programming. Being able to structure your questions well will really help you get better answers. Even if English isn’t your first language, focusing on improving your grammar can make a big difference!

Python is popular in many intro CS courses, but don’t overlook JavaScript. It’s super valuable, especially for web projects. Being proficient in both can really expand your opportunities down the line!

Honestly, I think you should just go for both! Python is generally quite easy, and it’s awesome for AI and backend stuff. Balancing both will give you more skills to work with!

Learning multiple programming languages can really enhance your understanding. I believe that exploring both JavaScript and Python could give you a broader perspective. Seeing concepts from different angles often makes everything click better!

If you’re interested in front-end web design, I highly recommend trying out CodePen. It’s a fantastic platform that allows you to play with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript all in the browser. Plus, learning Python alongside is a great idea—it’s very practical for backend development and plenty of other applications!
