Should I Return My 750W PSU for an 850W for My New Build?

I recently bought a Corsair RM750x 2024 PSU for my build, and I'm having doubts. Will it run my 5080 graphics card well enough? The RM850x is only £10 more expensive; should I return the 750W and go for the 850W instead?

Corsair makes great PSUs, but 750W is on the lower end for what you might need. I'd definitely recommend returning it for the 850W, as it’s safer for high-performance builds—better to have more than not enough!

I think you should really consider getting the 850W, especially since the minimum recommended for a 5080 is that wattage. It's better to have some overhead to avoid any power issues down the line. Plus, it's not much more money for a good upgrade.

Exactly! Having extra wattage really prevents problems in the future. You won't regret it.

If you're feeling buyer's remorse, just return it! An extra £10 for more power is a smart move, especially with a demanding GPU like that one. Just do it!

I personally went for a 1000W PSU for my own 5080, and trust me, it feels better knowing you have enough juice for everything, including future upgrades. If you can get your cash back, do it!
