I'm trying to decide whether to upgrade to the R5 2600 and pair it with a dedicated GPU or stick with the R3 2200G that I already own. My PC currently doesn't have a dedicated GPU, and I'm unsure if the performance boost would be significant enough to warrant the upgrade. Any advice?

Any GPU that's better than a GT 1030 or RX 550 will be a massive upgrade from the 2200G. The performance difference isn't just notable; it's huge! If you can, go for that upgrade.
Honestly, if you're considering the 2600, you might want to look into a 3600 instead since the price difference isn't huge. But yes, even a basic GPU like a GTX 1650 would enhance your gaming experience significantly compared to the graphics on the 2200G.
Upgrading to a dedicated GPU is definitely worth it! A GPU with at least 4GB of VRAM will outperform the integrated graphics of the 2200G by a huge margin. Just make sure your power supply can handle the load, as a bare GPU will add around 75W, and extra connectors will increase this further.
If the option to upgrade is available to you, definitely take it! There's no real need to stick with integrated graphics when you can have a dedicated GPU.
