Hey everyone! I'm trying to decide on my next move for upgrading my gaming setup. Right now, I'm using a pretty old GPU and it's struggling to keep up at 1440p. I initially built this PC with the intention of upgrading later, but I didn't end up needing it until now. I'm considering whether to spend around $700 to $1,000 on a new graphics card or if I should just go all in for a completely new rig, which would cost about $2,000 to $3,000. Here are my specs:
- Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8700K CPU @ 3.70GHz
- RAM: 32GB DDR4 at 3000MHz
- Power Supply: 1000W Corsair HXi
- Motherboard: ASUS ROG Strix Z370-E Gaming
Currently, I'm just using air cooling, but if I do upgrade to a new GPU, should I consider liquid cooling? Also, I've been gaming with a GTX 1080 Ti, so any thoughts would be appreciated! Thanks!

I've got the same CPU, and I’m actually upgrading to a Ryzen 7 9800X3D soon because I'm having trouble with newer games. Honestly, I suggest a full rebuild. I'm doing it in two phases: starting with the CPU and later getting a better GPU.
