I recently upgraded my computer with a Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor on a B650 Aorus Elite AX 4 motherboard. I'm currently using a 32GB kit of Crucial Pro DDR5 RAM running at 6400MHz (2x16GB). I'm considering adding two more 16GB sticks to make a total of 64GB, but I've heard mixed opinions about using all four RAM slots. Is it advisable to go for it, or will I face performance issues?

Using four memory sticks might cause your RAM to underperform. DDR5 is usually not as stable with four modules, and you might end up running at lower speeds if it even works. Unless you absolutely need more than 32GB for your gaming and multitasking setup, I’d suggest sticking with the current configuration to ensure the best performance.
Having four sticks could potentially slow things down or even make your system unstable altogether. If it was me, I’d stick with what you have unless you notice a real need for more RAM.
Yeah, I think it's smarter to avoid unnecessary risk in performance.
The thing is, do you really need those extra 32GB? If you're not using more than 32GB already, adding more RAM could actually make your system run slower. With four sticks, you might face instability and performance issues, so if you're fine with your current setup, there’s probably no need to change it at all.
Totally agree! Sometimes it's just the game itself that's poorly optimized, not necessarily a RAM issue.

I was thinking about the same thing since I run three monitors for gaming, Discord, and browsing. But if you're maxing out 32GB often, maybe think about optimizing your current setup instead.
