I'm planning to upgrade my RAM from 32GB to 64GB. I currently have two 16GB sticks installed. Should I just add another two 16GB sticks, or would it be better to replace them with a pair of 32GB sticks? I know that buying two more might be cheaper, but what are the performance differences between using 4 sticks versus just 2? Also, will I lose dual channel capability?

For DDR4, having 4 sticks is generally fine. I run 4 sticks at max speed without issues. Just make sure your motherboard can handle it!
Honestly, 32GB is usually enough unless you're doing really intensive tasks. What are you mainly using your system for?
It really depends on your CPU model. Intel generally manages 4 sticks better than AMD due to their memory controller. If you're using an AMD chip, it can sometimes be hit or miss.
Yeah, I’ve read that AMD systems can struggle with 4 sticks. Might need some luck!
You won’t lose dual channel if you use 4 sticks. Just keep in mind that some configurations might require you to clock them a bit lower, like from 6000 to 5600. And if you can sell your old RAM easily, going for 2x32GB may be the way to go!
Always check your CPU's memory spec. It might perform better with specific configurations, like 2 dual-rank sticks. If your CPU is strong enough, just go with the most cost-effective option!

Yeah, I’ve got DDR4 running at 3600 without a hitch.
