Should I Upgrade to a 9060 XT with FSR 4 or Hold Out for the RX 7800 XT?

Hey everyone! I'm planning to upgrade my GPU since my RX 570 is on its last legs. I have my eye on the RX 7800 XT, but I've heard a lot about the improvements with FSR 4. However, where I live, the prices for the 9070 XT are really high, so I might have to settle for the 9060 XT 16GB. Do you think FSR 4 will make the 9060 XT a good choice, or should I just wait and save up for the RX 7800 XT?

If the 9070 XT is way out of your budget, the 9060 XT still has potential, but keep in mind it’s about 40% slower than the 9070 XT. If you really want a performance boost, the RX 7800 XT is a solid option despite the FSR improvements. It's still going to give you better raw performance overall, even without FSR.

Yeah, I’m in the same boat. If prices were better, I’d go for the 9070 XT, but it’s just too steep right now.

FSR 4 is pretty solid and usually worth turning on. It has comparable quality to native TAA, but if you’re looking for the best experience, the RX 7800 XT is a safe bet. The 9060 XT isn't even out yet, so it’s hard to predict how it’ll perform. Just keep an eye out for reviews once it launches!

Will do! Just trying to weigh my options as the release date gets closer.

FSR 4 is a decent upscaler and many reviewers find it equivalent to DLSS 3 in quality, but the RX 7800 XT is still the champ in terms of raw power. Make sure to consider whether you want the latest tech or the best performance.

There’s still uncertainty about FSR 4 support for older GPUs like the 7000 series. It might work, but likely not as well due to lacking the hardware for tensor acceleration. So don’t bank on getting FSR 4 for the 7000 series; it might not live up to expectations since they want to push the new 9000 series.
