Should I upgrade to AM5 or just get a new GPU?

I'm currently using an AM4 setup with a Ryzen 5 5600X and I'm considering whether I should upgrade to an AM5 system or simply buy a Radeon RX 9070XT for gaming. My main goal is to improve performance on a UWD (3440x1440) monitor and also run some games on my 4K TV at decent frame rates. My specs include a Radeon 6750 XT for the GPU, and while my current setup is working fine, I'm concerned it might not hold up well with upcoming games I want to play, especially single-player RPGs. I'm looking for advice on whether I should go for the new GPU or if upgrading to AM5 is needed for it to be worthwhile. Any thoughts?

With your current graphics card, 4K gaming won't be optimal, so upgrading to the 9070XT seems essential. After you get it, you can reevaluate. If you notice any performance issues, you can think about upgrading your CPU later on. It's all about balancing your budget and needs!

If you can only choose between upgrading the GPU or doing a full rebuild, I recommend getting the 9070XT first. That way, you can see how well the rest of your system performs with it before committing to a full upgrade. You might find that your current setup does just fine as is!

You should be just fine with the 9070XT and your 5600X, especially at 1440p or even 4K. I wouldn’t rush into moving to AM5 right now. Prices for things might come down after a while, so it could be smart to wait and consider would-be upgrades like a 5800X3D later on.

Honestly, that's a solid deal on the 9070XT. You should definitely go for it without feeling pressured to jump to AM5 just yet. The performance boost will be significant even with your current CPU, so it's worth it!

Getting that GPU is definitely a good move! It'll enhance your overall gaming experience a lot. Focus on the GPU upgrade first, and keep an eye on prices for AM5 later; it’s not an immediate concern!
