I'm trying to figure out whether I should switch from HDMI to DisplayPort for my monitor setup. My monitor can handle up to 165Hz, and right now I'm using an older HDMI cable connected to my 4060ti graphics card. I've read that DisplayPort 2.1 would be ideal, but I'm uncertain if my graphics card and monitor support it. Plus, my HDMI cable is really old, so it might not even support 120Hz. Any advice on whether I should make the switch and what cable would be best? Thanks!

First, check if your monitor is currently running at 165Hz. If it is and everything’s working fine, swapping cables probably won’t change anything. But if you can’t set it to that refresh rate, then yeah, an upgrade could be a good idea!
