Hey folks! I'm getting ready to install my motherboard drivers and noticed there are specific drivers for the AMD iGPU. I'm wondering if it's better to use the iGPU alongside my Nvidia dGPU or if I should just disable it in the BIOS. Does it even make a difference in performance or stability? Just for reference, I'm running a 9800X3D with an RTX 5080.

Disabling the iGPU in the BIOS can help improve memory stability. I personally have mine turned off. While the iGPU can offer extra display outputs, it doesn't really add any significant performance benefits otherwise.
If you're looking to maximize performance, I suggest just physically installing the RTX 5080 and connecting your display to it. After that, download the Nvidia driver but don’t install it immediately. Use DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) to clean up any old drivers first, then reboot and install the Nvidia driver. Just make sure to cut off the internet while doing this to avoid any complications.
Just to add to the conversation, I've had problems with certain games when my iGPU was enabled, like Forza Horizon 4 wouldn't launch. If you're experiencing issues, turning it off might be the best solution. But if everything's running smoothly, you might as well leave it on.
