Hey all! I'm about to build a new gaming PC and would really appreciate your feedback before I take the plunge. My current rig is from 2016 (featuring an i7 6700K and GTX 1070) and it's time for an upgrade, although I'm keeping my case (for nostalgia), some fans, and storage.
Here's the plan:
- **Case:** NZXT Phantom 240 - Already purchased!
- **PSU:** Corsair RM850 850W 80 Plus Gold White - €153.90
- **Motherboard:** Asus TUF B850-Plus Gaming WiFi - €269.90
- **CPU:** AMD Ryzen 7 9700X - €339.90
- **GPU:** Sapphire AMD Radeon RX 9070 "RDNA 4" Pure OC - €769.90
- **Cooler:** NZXT Kraken Elite 280 RGB White (2025) - €269.90
- **Fans:** Lian Li ST120 RGB PWM 3 Pack - Already purchased!
- **RAM:** Corsair Vengeance RGB 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5 6000MHz CL36 - €121.90
- **Storage:** Samsung 850 EVO 500GB SATA III + Crucial P5 500GB NVMe SSD - Already purchased!
The total runs around €1930, which is a bit over my initial budget. I splurged on the cooler because I love its design and I'm aiming for a white-themed build. Let me know what you think or if you'd suggest any changes! Thanks a ton!

This build looks solid! The only suggestion I'd make is for future-proofing and if you're into overclocking, consider switching the PSU to a modular 1000 watt model for more flexibility down the line.
If you're set on that Kraken Elite for aesthetics, I get it! Just keep in mind the price vs. performance angle. What’s your plan for mounting? I usually stick with a single retailer to avoid issues.
Overall, great components, but I think you're spending a bit more than necessary. You might not need an AIO cooler; a Peerless Assassin could save you $30-50. The RAM prices seem high too, that should be around $90. Where are you located?
