When I open a playlist in TikTok, I get a “No Internet Connection” message, but videos and other parts of the app load normally. It happens on both Wi-Fi and cellular. Restarting my phone and reinstalling the app did not help. What else is worth trying?
TikTok playlists say “No Internet Connection” even though the app works. Any ideas?

Since the rest of the app works on both network types, this may be a playlist-specific app issue rather than your connection. Check whether TikTok has an update, then sign out and back in if you can. If it still happens, report it through the app and mention that only playlists fail, along with the phone model and app version.

One quick thing to test is whether the same playlist opens in a browser or on another device. If it does, that points more toward the app or its local data. If it fails there too, it could be something tied to that playlist or account. I wouldn't keep reinstalling before checking that distinction.

Try clearing TikTok's cache from its settings, then fully close and reopen the app. Also check that the app has permission to use cellular data and that any VPN, content filter, or private DNS setting is not interfering. Those are easy checks, though the fact that other sections work means they may not fix it.

If several people are seeing the same playlist-only error, it may be a temporary bug on TikTok's side. There may not be a phone setting that fixes it, so give it a little time and check again after an app update. Avoid repeatedly deleting and reinstalling the app if you've already tried that.
