Troubleshooting Boot Issues on My New PC

I'm looking for help diagnosing some frustrating boot issues with my new PC setup. After 15 years away from personal computers, I decided to buy a used one at a great price. However, I'm facing persistent boot problems where it gets stuck on the EZ Debug LED, showing solid red and orange for CPU and RAM during the first boot. After forcing a shutdown, it usually manages to boot up fine the second time.
Initially, it worked well at default settings, but once I enabled XMP to use my RAM at 6000MHz, I started having serious issues. I've had to reset the CMOS multiple times to get it to work. Currently, my BIOS settings include XMP enabled, frequency set to auto, memory context restore disabled, and a few other tweaks. Despite passing memory tests and switching RAM slots, the problem persists. I'm wondering if my power supply could be at fault. Any insights would be appreciated!
Here's a quick rundown of my PC specs:
- GPU: MSI NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 16GB
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 7950X
- Motherboard: MSI MPG B650I EDGE WiFi
- RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR5 32GB
- Power Supply: Corsair RM1000x 80+ Gold Fully Modular 1000W
- Cooling: Corsair iCUE H150i Elite Capellix XT 360mm AIO Liquid Cooler
- Case: Lian Li O11 Dynamic evo White ATX Tower
Thanks in advance!

If you have the option, try booting without XMP enabled and check if the problem persists. It’s strange that it only struggles during the first boot. That shouldn't affect the long-term health of your components, but it's good to be cautious. Keep an eye on it!

I’d suggest trying to clear the CMOS and leaving all settings at stock except for XMP. If it crashes with XMP, turn it off and see how it behaves then. It seems like issues only arise during the first boot, so let’s see if reverting to stock settings helps! No harm in experimenting a bit.
