I've been experiencing a frustrating problem where my PC loses its internet connection every couple of hours. While other devices connected via Wi-Fi seem to work fine, it seems there's a problem specifically with the Ethernet connection between my router and PC. I usually fix it through the Windows network diagnostic tool, which offers to reset my Ethernet adapter, or I can re-enable it via Device Manager. Sometimes the diagnostic indicates that I'm connected to the internet but with low network quality, while at other times it'll state that I only have a local network connection. Interestingly, it seems to affect upload speeds more, so during Discord calls, I can hear others perfectly, but they can't hear me. I've already tried turning off IPv6, reinstalling drivers, and restarting my PC, but the problem persists. Any thoughts on what might be causing this and how I can fix it? I can provide more info or do additional troubleshooting if needed. My setup includes an Asus ROG X570 Crosshair VIII Hero (Wi-Fi) ATX Motherboard.

Are other devices on your network experiencing issues, or is it just your PC? If it's only your PC, it may point to something like a driver or hardware issue. Everything else on Wi-Fi is solid, right?
Have you tried replacing the Ethernet cable? Sometimes a faulty cable can cause these kind of connection issues. Also, when was the last time you did a fresh install of Windows? It’s worth checking out.
I haven't swapped out the cable yet; I figured if it was causing the issue, resetting the adapter wouldn’t help. I’ll consider a fresh Windows install since it’s been a while.
You might want to download the latest Realtek driver for your Ethernet connection. Asus often doesn’t keep drivers updated, and I had a similar problem that was fixed after a Windows update pushed out a driver that didn’t work well.
I’ll try that when I get home from work. Thanks for the suggestion!

It's just my PC with the Ethernet connection. All other Wi-Fi devices are running smoothly, and I haven’t had connectivity issues unless there’s a power outage.
