Troubleshooting New RX9070XT Not Starting

I recently got a new RX9070XT Gigabyte Gaming OC as a Christmas gift, but I'm having trouble getting it to start. After installing it, I was greeted with a black screen—no fan movement or RGB lighting. I ended up sending it back to the shop; they confirmed that it worked fine and sent me a replacement. However, I tried installing the new one yesterday, and it's the same story – it won't start or initialize. Here are my PC specs:

- **Motherboard:** Asrock B850 Steel Legend
- **PSU:** MSI MAG A850GL

I have a fairly new BIOS (updated in December) and have reset the CMOS. I'm using two power cables from the PSU along with a pigtail since there aren't any free slots left, but everything should technically work. Just to note, my old card (GTX970) is functioning perfectly, so I don't think the PCIe slot is an issue. Any suggestions?

It sounds like the PSU might be part of the issue. If you're using shared power cables for the GPU, that could cause problems. Ideally, you should have one power cable for each GPU power connection. Do you have another PSU that can support that?

Unfortunately, I don't have access to another PSU. Most of the newer ones, I’ve heard, come with four 8-pin cables, usually two for the CPU and two for the graphics card.

Try disabling CSM in the UEFI firmware settings with your old card still in. The RX9070XT cards can only operate in UEFI mode and not CSM. This could help your GPU get recognized properly.

I already checked, and CSM is deactivated.
