I'm upgrading my CPU and GPU and ran into an issue. I recently bought a PNY GeForce RTX 4060 Ti, which needs to connect to the PSU via a PCI-e 8 pin cable. However, my current PSU, the Tacens Valero III 500W, is quite old and I don't see a cable with dual PCI-e 8 pin ends available anywhere. Does anyone know if such a cable exists? If not, and I have to purchase a new PSU, what budget-friendly options do you recommend? I've already exceeded my budget and would prefer to keep costs low. Honestly, this whole situation is frustrating, and I'm seriously considering giving up on PC upgrades altogether!

That PSU isn't great, since it's non-modular and if the cable isn't included, you're stuck without options. I'd recommend looking for a new PSU with at least 600W. If you're in the USA, you can find a Thermaltake SMART for around $40, which is a decent budget choice. Just make sure to pick something modern to ensure the connectors you need are available. I can't really suggest anything specific for Spain, but I'm sure there are some good options out there!
Seriously, just get a new power supply. 500W isn't enough for your setup, and skimping on a PSU is never worth the risk. You'll want something reliable that can safely power your components, especially with a new GPU. Don't cheap out on this one!
I get it, I just want to see if there’s a way to avoid extra spending. But yeah, it’s not a huge price difference for a decent upgrade.
Would 600W be solid, or should I go for 700W just to be safe?

Yeah, I checked my original box and there was no extra cable, so it looks like I really do need to get a new PSU. It's disappointing because I've read that 500W should be the minimum for my setup. I think it might actually be the original PSU from when I built my PC over 10 years ago, so an upgrade definitely seems overdue. I live in Poland, and some recommended models aren't available here, but thanks for the recommendations!
