Upgrading My Old PC: What Mid-Range Components Should I Go For?

Hey everyone! I'm looking to upgrade my old PC components as my current setup is starting to show its age. Here's what I have right now: an AMD Ryzen 3700x, Nvidia 1070, 16GB of 2800MHz RAM, and an MSI B450 motherboard. I want to know what mid-range components I should be considering for a solid upgrade. I plan to keep my case, but I need guidance on the best CPU, GPU, and RAM to get decent performance for playing the latest games at 1440p. I'm not focused on max settings, just a good frame rate will do. Appreciate any advice!

Make sure to get a GPU with at least 12GB of VRAM. This will really help you in demanding games at 1440p!

For a solid upgrade, I recommend going with the Ryzen 7 5700X or even the 5700X3D for better performance. For the GPU, the RTX 5060 Ti with 16GB would be a great choice, and don't forget to upgrade your RAM to at least 32GB of DDR4 at 3600MHz for optimal performance!

But why swap out most of your setup and not consider the AM5 platform? It feels like a big leap to make without future-proofing!

You should definitely start with upgrading that 1070! The new RX 9060 XT with 16GB of VRAM at MSRP is performing really well!
