Upgrading to a 40 or 50 Series GPU: Is My Setup Ready?

I'm considering upgrading my PC to a higher-end NVIDIA GPU, specifically looking at the RTX 40 or 50 series. My current setup includes an Asrock B760M Pro RS motherboard, Intel Core i5 12400F processor, an NVIDIA GTX 1080 Ti graphics card, and 32GB of XPG RAM. I have a 700W old Zaman power supply but I'm open to upgrading it if needed. I'm particularly drawn to the RTX 4070 Ti or the 5070 Ti since it's tough to find the 40 series in my town in Czech Republic due to supply issues. I've recently upgraded my motherboard, CPU, and RAM, so I'd prefer not to make further changes there.

If you're aiming for a 5070 Ti, I highly recommend upgrading to a 750W power supply, especially with a dedicated 12VHPWR cable. While your old 700W PSU might technically provide enough power, its age raises questions about reliability—it's better to be safe. Plus, be aware that your 12400F might bottleneck a new GPU, but it largely depends on what games and resolutions you plan to play. That said, the jump from a 1080 Ti to a 5070 Ti would still be significant!

I plan on gaming at 1080p. I know the CPU will hold back the GPU a bit, but could you explain how that will affect my FPS? I'm definitely getting a new PSU since the old one has had some issues.
